Some fundamental facts on pudendal lip reduction

Do I need a general anaesthetic?

No. In 98 % of all cases I perform a reduction of the pudendal lips with a local anaesthetic. Twenty minutes prior to surgery you will apply a special cream to the mucous membrane which will numb it. In addition you will receive a local anaesthetic (injection) which will no longer cause any pain because of the cream that has numbed the area. If desired I will also perform the surgery under partial anaesthetic which will put you to sleep so that you don't feel or see anything. In that case you will have to ask someone to pick you up to take you home after the operation.
