Breast

Will my health insurance pay for a breast reduction?

If an excessively large breast is classified as a "disease", the health insurance will normally pay for a breast reduction. Many health insurance companies classify as a "disease" breasts with an excess weight of more than 400 g per side (always in relation to the person's overall weight) associated with pain and back-neck-shoulder-arm pain. Correction of a flabby breast will however be regarded as an aesthetic problem and will therefore have to be paid for by the patient herself.
